 I can not say enough good things about this movie. Its quirky, funny and a visually stunning movie! Directed by Wes Anderson,Its an other must see!!

Queen of Versailles

About a year ago I came across " The Queen of Versailles" and have been  raving about it ever since!

The Queen of Versailles is a documentary that follows a billionaire couple ( Jackie and David Siegel) as they begin construction on a mansion inspired by  the palace of Versailles. During the next two years, their empire, funded by the real estate bubble and cheap money, falters due to the economic crisis ( Thank you IMDB). Its a very entertaining documentary that at points, will have your mouth on floor.

It won Sundance in 2012 and the director, Lauren Greenfield, is an incredibly talented director. She has made a couple other documentaries and published two photo books. One in fact I was given about 10 years ago and held on to for a long time ( Girl Culture, Thanks Mama!) because the pictures were so incredible.


I cant really do the Siegels justice by my description but I was sad to find out that David has taken a law suit out against the movie and director based on the way he was portrayed.
